Something Cool play an irresistible blend of groovy jazz and foot-tapping swing.

Something Cool comprises of the honeyed, melodically expressive vocals of Rachel Bundy accompanied by the exciting and engaging piano of Alex Biggs, the swinging double bass of Steve Thompson and the inventive drums of Dave Higgins.

Banana Bar, 1999 The repertoire of Something Cool is both large and varied. We take all the great jazz standards and even a few of the more contemporary songs, which we treat in our inimitable Something Cool style.

Something Cool will take a tune from the 1930s like 'Night & Day' and follow it with a pop song from the 1960s like 'Walk On By'; a lounge classic from the 1950s like 'Fly Me To The Moon' followed by a Beatles classic like 'Strawberry Fields' or a popular bossa nova such as 'Girl From Ipanema'. Each of these songs in our eclectic mix is given the unmistakable Something Cool touch. Producing soulful ballads, infectious swing and feel-good funk! The end result is an exhilarating evening of fresh and entertaining music - jazz with a smile.

Something Cool are professional full-time musicians who are dedicated to music and entertaining the public. We create a highly enjoyable, relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere wherever we perform. For all those people who didn't think they liked jazz - Something Cool is the band for you.
